The course introduces to the design of controllers for single control loops and for coupled loops as they are encountered frequently in process applications. The methods used are based on input-output descriptions by transfer functions (matrices) and frequency responses.
The course is intended for Master students of Automation and Robotics and of Bichchemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Process Systems Engineering.
It builds upon the courses CTA for A&R and Introduction to Process Dynamics and Control plus Controller Design Fundamentals for (bio)chemical engineering students.
Lectures will be taught weekly in HSII HS 7 on Wednesdays from 14.15 - 15.45.
Tutorials will be taught in PC Pool 1, BCI Department on Mondays 16.00 - 18.00 on the following dates: December 15, January 12, January 26 and February 2.
