This course offers guided practice of the practical fundamentals of print and online journalism, particularly as a writer covering economic and social policy.
After completing the module „Journalism Practice I“, the students
• are familiar with the techniques and strategies of print and online journalism
• are able to research and write for traditional and innovative forms of agency, newspaper, and online journalism, particularly in the fields of economic and social policy
• can apply standard research, interviewing, and writing techniques under realistic working conditions
• can participate in the planning and production of marketable products of high-quality economic journalism
• are able to apply standard research, interviewing, and writing techniques in real-world work settings
• are able to contribute, under supervision, to the planning and production of marketable products in the field of high-quality economic journalism
