This is an integrated skills course. To graduate from the course, students should demonstrate sufficient abilities in listening, reading, writing, speaking, and mediation. The course trains students’ communication skills, such as, for example, giving talks, explaining ideas, arguing a position, and summarizing and analyzing information from different sources. The course introduces students to several topics: management styles, team building, financing, cross-cultural communication, and customer service, among others. In addition, the course helps students develop certain learning strategies, particularly the strategies for self-regulated learning.
