The things that became speakable and how they were spoken in the Trump administration marked a new era in US American politics. In this course, we will use the many tools of a linguist to investigate the many aspects of Trump’s unique speech style. This will be done by reading and analyzing excerpts from „Linguistic Inquiries intro Donald Trump’s Language“ and „Language in the Trump Era“. We will then employ those methods used by other linguists to develop our own unique research perspectives.
