There is increased attention from the media, policymakers, and academia of women and other minorities in business. This is large because of the increasing participation of women and other minorities in entrepreneurial activities, family businesses, and corporate spheres. Despite these trends, women and other minorities are underrepresented in many industries, on the board of directors, their businesses experience high failure rates, as well as they show a low likelihood to join family businesses. Thus, researchers have focused on understanding the drivers and challenges that women and other minorities face in the business sphere, as well as their impact on businesses, innovation, and societies. In this seminar, we will discuss the recent research on women and other minorities in business spheres.

This seminar has two main learning goals: First, the students will acquire a profound knowledge of the research field of women and diversity in business, including qualitative and quantitative research. Second, the students will obtain the skills of scientific working and writing.
